Platform Evaluation Form

Try our criteria yourself. Enter the name of any platform, answer each question, and we will show you the grade it earns and how each answer added to the score. If you're not sure about a question, we leave it out rather than count it against the platform. The score is the share of points the platform earned on the questions you could answer, expressed out of 100. You need to answer questions worth at least half the points to get a grade.

You can enter any platform, not just the ones that come up as you type.

1. Does the platform have a dedicated digital legacy policy page that addresses what happens to an account after death?

2. Does the platform provide the ability to designate, update, or remove one or more legacy contacts?

3. Does the platform's default deletion/retention policy explicitly state the outcome when no legacy contact is designated and no action is ever taken?

4. How much control does the user have over what happens to their account and data after death?

5. How does the platform verify death or incapacitation before granting access?

6. Does the platform provide an opt-out from having a user's data used for AI training?

7. Does the platform provide an opt-out from having a user's data used for DeadBot creation?

8. Does the platform limit or prevent legacy contact access to shared or co-owned content? (e.g., shared conversations excluded from legacy contact access by default)
