About
The Digital Death Directory is a research project that started in the Human-Computer Interaction Lab at the University of Manitoba.

The Digital Death Directory was designed to help you understand how online platforms handle your data when you die so you can make informed decisions about your digital life and the legacy you leave behind.
We research and evaluate information about platform policies and tools, such as memorialization, legacy contacts, account deletion and data download, so you understand your options for managing your digital accounts. We also monitor policy changes, verify information regularly and welcome input from our users.
This project is ongoing and we're committed to ensuring the directory remains free to use, accurate, inclusive and helpful for everyone.
